Customer Information about Lotrel
As many as 65 million American adults – nearly 1 in 3 suffer from high blood pressure, also known as hypertension. It is estimated that 70% of people with high blood pressure do not have the correct medical treatment to bring it under control to below 140/90. Currently, there are numerous choices available to physicians for the treatment of patients suffering from this condition, which can be treated by the use of a single drug, such as Lotrel, or by a combination of medications, which may also include Lotrel. In a clinical study, 9 out of 10 patients taking Lotrel saw significant reductions in their blood pressure.
Lotrel Information
Lotrel is a highly effective combination of two leading blood pressure medications, and is part of a category of drugs known as calcium channel blockers. The primary function of this type of medication is to improve blood flow and circulation, by it’s effect on the walls of the veins and arteries of the patient. The beneficial effect of using Lotrel is the relaxation of the blood vessel tissues effectively making them wider, and thus increasing the blood flow through them. The benefit of using Lotrel as part of a blood pressure treatment program is that it is compatible with many other medications which are commonly prescribed for related conditions, for example, angina. Lotrel has the advantage of a proven track record of achieving results for patients, where other heart medication drugs may have been less successful in their efficacy. It is important to always adhere to your Doctor’s instructions, but if these are followed the patient can be confident of experiencing an improvement in thir condition prior to the end of the treatment program.
It is common practice to commence the treatment program with a low dosage of Lotrel. Under the supervision of a physician, the dosage may subsequently be modified to obtain the most beneficial results for the patient. This is common practice and is dependant on the patients individual circumstances and reaction to the treatment and effects of the medication. It is important that the patient’s condition is closely monitored, as this is the only method of provinding an accurate tracking of the progress of the treatment.

The potential side effects associated with using Lotrel may not become immediately noticeable – and in some cases, the side effects only begin to show after months of using the drug.
